Penguins

Room 3 made penguins we made them with cotton wool. First we practiced drawing the penguins, then we drew them on white paper, then we cut them out and glued them on the piece of paper. Then we got some cotton wool and made snow out of them. We then glued them on the piece of paper. Then we took pictures of them.

Photo Frames

On Thursday, Room 3 made nature photo frames. They made the cool photo frames out of, feathers, flax, small stones, bark, leaves, paua shells, shells and all different types of flowers. The frames were made of paper. First the paper was ripped up, then they put the paper in a bucket with water. Mrs Brown helped them make the shape of the frame, and then they cut the little square out of the middle of the frame. They then let the frames dry for two days.

Room 3

Room 3 is playing sport right now on the 11th of April they are having fun playing King Dodge ball. Payton is the queen for X team and Kacie is the queen for the O team.

Room 3 has also been doing same family trees and learning about their families. They have been learning about Samoa and had an "umu" put on by Faith city church. At first the children thought that they would not like the food but in the end they liked most things. Kacie said that she really liked the chicken. They also made a poster about their umu and the way they made it and the food they had.

Our Work 2005

Room three has been doing some awesome crazy characters for their art work. This is how we made them.
We rolled up some black paper and stapled it to make a tube. We cut out some hats faces and clothes to stick on it. They are really crazy. Have a look at some of them.

We read a big book called "Eggs,Eggs,Eggs." It was funny. In Art we used mixed Media, you know, crayons and paint and sticking things, it was fun and our chickens turned out well. Still no eggs though!
We can identify traffic and we know how to cross the road safely.
Volcanoes! Mount Taranaki is a cone Volcano, just like the one we made. It is dormant, that means it's only sleeping. Volcanoes are really interesting.
