Wacky Wednesday

Ever read Wacky Wednesday by Dr Seuss? A great read! It’s all about a day when all sorts of Wacky things happen. We studied Dr Seuss and his books, Rhymes and poetry and had our own Wacky Wednesday!

It was such a great day the first time it’s become a biannual occurrence. Parents and Grandparents come in and join us. They are such great sports!

In 2003 we had one Dad doing his knitting up the tree, a Mum in cow pyjamas eating grass, a Nana ironing on the field. A Mum was brishing her teeth on the playground, another Mum was painting the grass, green of course! A teacher was frying eggs on the car’s bonnet and the health Nurse was listening to the cars heartbeat, A dad was vacuming the volley-ball court, the list goes on!

Students had to go around the school trying to spot the wacky things. Of course everyone came to school dressed wacky so that meant there had to be time for a Wacky Parade.

There was wacky school work
and wacky lunches.

What a wonderfully wacky time we had.

We are looking forward to next time!

That will be ...
